Gourmet coffee sells for $10 to 13 a pound or more in the coffee shop. Here's what the typical coffee farmer receives for each pound of coffee produced:
❖.50 to $1.00 per pound sold to middlemen and exporters.
❖$1.25 to $1.75 per pound sold as Fair Trade Coffee.
❖$3.50 or more per pound sold as Fair Trade Direct Coffee.
